Year 6

Year 6

Welcome back Year 6!

Welcome back to school! I hope you had a lovely Christmas and New Year with a restful break and come back rested and ready for a busy year ahead. The children settled in so well during Autumn term and developed into a responsible and hard-working Year 6 class and I am sure that they will continue to do this in Spring Term. Below, you will find important links for Spring term. You will see the Curriculum Matters document which explains what the children will be learning about throughout this term. They will be taught by Miss Queenan (Maths, English, RE, Topic), Mrs Carlisle (Computing, Art and Science), Mr Stanton (Music) and Mrs Stanton (German).

This term is an important one for Year 6 due to the upcoming SATs tests. These will take place on Monday 11th May- Thursday 14th May 2020. More details on these will provided in this half term including resources that can be purchased to support your child. However, simple things can be done at home to support your child. Please ensure they are reading as much as possible. They can support their Maths learning by ensuring they know their times tables and improve in Maths and English by completing their homework every week.

If there are any issues, please feel free to contact me and I will do everything I can to support.

Many thanks,

Miss Queenan
