Today we are going to look at line graphs. These are graphs that use a line to join up the points plotted onto a graph. Have a look at the lesson on MyMaths https://app.mymaths.co.uk/6007-lesson/line-graphs which goes through line graphs and how to read and plot these type of graphs. When you have finished, please login to MyMaths and complete your homework about line graphs. Remember to check out at the end so I can see your answers! Keep working hard J
Today we are going to look at transition again. Hopefully you looked at your school website last week and made some questions you would like answers to and maybe you got some of them. This week, we are going to try and make sure you are thinking about everything as when you are prepared, it can help you feel more ready. I have attached a document about secondary school transition. This has a lot of questions that you might have about secondary school and some you might not have even thought of! See how many you can now answer and see if you can find the answers to any more. Don’t worry if you can’t!
Today, we are continuing our work on witnesses. One of the big thing that the disciples witnessed was the Holy Spirit visiting the disciples at Pentecost. Remind yourself of this story- you will find it below! The Holy Spirit gave the disciples the courage to go out and spread the word of God but the Holy Spirit gives us many different gifts. I would like you to please research the 7 gifts of the Holy Spirit. You might find they have different names on different websites but they are the same thing. If you can’t find them, I will attach a document with them below. Research what the gifts are, what these mean (sometimes they have names you might not have heard of before) and what this gift means when we get it e.g. what does it help us do.
When you have done this, please create a poster, leaflet or booklet about the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Explain what each gift is and the way that it helps us in our life. You could decorate it with an image that represents that gift in a clear way. You can draw this or do it on the computer if you want- be as creative as you like.
I have also attached some ideas below from Sr Susan. These contain lots of ideas for celebrating Pentecost and thinking about the Holy Spirit and the gifts and fruits it continues to give us! Some of these could be completed today but they can be accessed all over half term because Pentecost is on Sunday 31st May! There are lots of fun activities so please have a look!
Remember I love seeing your work and the fun things you are doing! Keep sending them to email@example.com
REMEMBER if you haven’t already: Yearbook
We are really hoping to be able to get a Yearbook put together for you all to remember your time at St Joseph’s. We will try everything we can to do this! To do this, I need some information about you all to put in the Yearbook.
There is a document below to fill in but all I really need to know if what your ambition is for the future e.g. what you would like to do for a job or career when you grow up and what your favourite memory of St Joseph’s is!
Please have a think about these and email this document or just the answer to these two questions to firstname.lastname@example.org
You could drop it off at school if you live nearby and can’t email this. To do this, please just leave it in the foyer of school so there is no contact between you and the members of staff and children in school for everyone’s safety. If you can’t do this, you could ring school and tell the answers to these to a member of staff who will write these down and pass them on. Please try the other methods if possible though.
