Welcome to Nursery!
In Nursery we follow the 'Early Years Foundation Stage', which consists of the following areas of learning:
Communication and Language
Personal, Social and Emotional Development
Physical Development

Understanding the World
Expressive Arts and Design
Children in Nursery learn through focused groups with an adult and through child initiated activities. The classroom's extra provision is planned to match our current topic or book we are reading.
Mrs Dexter is our class teachers and Miss Anthony is our teaching assistant.
Dangerous Dinosaurs
Our topic this term is 'Dangerous Dinosaurs'. We will be focusing on learning about dinosaurs and prehistoric lands during Summer One. In Summer Two we will be learning about some of the other animals that lived during the prehistoric time and whether there are any dinosaurs still alive today! We will look at cave drawings and the artist Damien Hirst's 'pipe cleaner animal' exhibition. We will also be taking a trip to a local animal farm to see some modern day dinosaurs!

Me and My Community
Our topic this term is 'Me and My Community'. We will be focusing on learning about our families and friends in our local community during Advent One. In Advent Two we will be learning all about 'people who help us'. We will look at some of the different jobs others in our community do and how they play a large part in helping our communities.
