Monday 4th May
I hope you have all had a good weekend!
Well done to those of you who have played on TTRS. At the moment we are ahead in the battle against Year 5 which is great! The battle finishes on Friday - keep going! Well done especially to Reuben and Seth who have got so many points for our class.
Also keep an eye on your challenges on Rockslam on TTRS as I will be challenging lots of you on it this week!
Please go to:
Go to Summer Term Week 1 (w/c 20 April) Lesson 2 – Equivalent fractions (3) and watch the video.
While you are watching the video, it might tell you to pause it at certain points and complete some questions. Please take a look at the question sheet I have attached below called ‘Equivalent fractions (3)’. Once you have finished the questions, you can check your answers using the answer sheet. If you are struggling while you are doing the worksheet, take another look at the video. If you’re really not sure, you could miss a question out and go back to it at the end. Don’t worry if you are finding some questions difficult, just try your best with it!
I have attached a Fraction Wall again which might be useful to help you. The fraction wall helps you to see which fractions are the same as other fractions. For example, find 1/2 on the fraction wall. If you go down, you can see that 1/2 is the same as 2/4 and 3/6 and 4/8 and 5/10 and 6/12. They are all equivalent fractions.
Take a look at the document below to find out what you are doing for your English work.
The word of the week this week is Bible. Take a look at this week's video:
The reflection this week is to choose a story from the Bible to read - this could be your favourite story or a new piece of scripture. If you don't have a Bible at home, you could use an online Bible.
When we were at school, each week on Friday a different person would take home the Bible to read and then place a post it note on the scripture you had read. You also wrote in a notebook about what scripture you had read and lots of you drew pictures.
Therefore, for your RE work today, that is what I would like you to do. Choose a piece of scripture just like the reflection on the video says, and then write a few sentences to say what the scripture was about. You could also explain why you chose that particular piece of scripture to read and you could draw some pictures too.
I have attached the spellings below for you to practise throughout the week.
