Home Learning

Hello Year 6,

I hope you are all safe and well. This page is where you will find the home learning you will need to try to complete over the next few weeks. This will be:

Monday: Maths, English and RE

Tuesday: Maths, English and Topic.

Wednesday: Maths, Guided Reading and Science

Thursday: Maths, English and RE.

Friday: Maths, English, Topic and Spelling test.

This should be completed everyday where possible- just try your best! Remember if you don't understand something, use the internet to help you where you can!

Some of your Maths and English work will still be using your SATs packs. Although your SATs tests won't take place this year, the learning that has taken place this year has been substantial and these papers will give a chance to revise this learning as well as remind you of learning from previous year groups and introduce some new learning. Please don't be disheartened or lose motivation with the removal of the tests this year, you have worked so hard and have learnt so much and no one can take that away from you. Please keep this learning going so you don't forget everything you have learnt!

Don't forget to keep using the logins given to you for a variety of websites including TT rockstars, readtheory and timestables.co.uk! Don't forget about the books on oxford owl as well- choose a new one to start! Keep working on these and see how quick you can get your TT rockstars speed- look our for battles as well!

Finally, it is important to keep yourself happy and working on a variety of skills. There are some videos and online resources to help keep your day interesting:

  • Joe Wicks (The Body Coach) is completing a daily PE session at 9am for 30 minutes a day. Just search for PE with Joe on Youtube and have a go at this anytime!
  • Draw with Rob (Art for Kids Hubs). These are youtube clips with draw along videos where someone teaches you how to draw something different each day!
  • BBC have some live lessons to keep different topics interesting! https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/live-lessons
  •  Steve Backshall (Deadly 60 presenter) is going to do youtube videos about a variety of animal and nature topics. Keep an eye out for these!

I look forward to seeing you all again whenever it is possible.

Keep yourselves and each other safe,

Miss Queenan

Great experiment work Robert!
