Autumn Term 1 The Enchanted Woodland

For our innovate, we received a letter from our class fairy. She asked us to design and make a woodland home for her friend. We had to think about the animals that could live there, the physical features and the human features of a woodland.

Season of Creation

We went over to Sr Susan's garden to spend some time thinking about creation. We loved looking at her lovely flowers and enjoying the nature.

We had  lovely afternoon to launch our woodland topic. We went on the field to observe the trees, make bark rubbings and we even went on a nature hunt. We collected objects such as leaves, feathers, twigs, seeds and sticks.

Hello Everyone,

Over Summer, you might want to start thinking about our new topic. We are going to be learning all about the Enchanted Woodland. I have attached the topic homework for you to make a start at. There are 2 creative, 2 written and 2 visit activities for you to choose from. You need to do one activity from each section. I have also attached the knowledge organiser for this topic so you can start to learn some new facts.

Our Author of the Term for Autumn Term 1 is Claire Freedman. Over the Summer, you might read some of her books from the library and have your favourite one ready to bring into school in September to share with our class.

Have a lovely Summer and see you in September.
